North Wales Site Manager Scoops National Accolade
A development in North Wales gained national recognition recently when it’s site manager was named one of the winners of the NHBC’s (National House Building Council), Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Steve Martin, a Ravenscroft Homes employee for more than 10 years, is one of only 430 other site managers across the UK to win a Quality Award for his work on their Brairswood development in Colwyn Heights Conwy.
Pride in the Job is the most prestigious award in the housing industry and only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build will be considered, Steve is one of 15,000 site managers nationwide who are considered for this award.
Steve said: ‘I am so pleased to have won this award and must take this opportunity to say that achieving this prestigious award is down to having a strong team around me, with good trades and suppliers. This award is as much about their hard work as my own.’
Gary Evans, Director of Ravenscroft Homes NW Ltd, says: ‘Steve is a valued and committed member of Ravenscroft Homes. He has a trade background and has been in the construction industry for 30 years working as both a tradesman and a manager. This isn’t the first time Steve’s expertise has been recognised, earlier this year the Briarswood development won the LABC County award for quality under Steve’s management. The Building Excellence Awards help to draw attention to the best buildings that display a range of special qualities. The finalists, like Ravenscroft Homes, are not judged purely on the visual beauty of their homes but also on the construction work and technical architecture that goes into coming up with creative solutions and tackling design challenges. We rose to the challenge with Briarswood and were able to demonstrate great building control qualities such as excellent communications with clients, the best design and craftsmanship and great project team work. The judges have credited us on our innovation, creativity and commitment to sustainability. All the homes at Briarswood aim to create the least amount of waste products and utilise all energy efficiently. They are also built with long term prospects in mind. These are just some of the qualities that went into Briarswood and won us the Best Small Developer award.

We are delighted to announce that Ravenscroft Homes have been given a five page feature in the Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom Magazine!
Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom Magazine is dedicated to luxury design. It explores and reviews the most fashionable kitchen and bathroom designs around.
Their article looks at the incredible design work that went into the kitchen and feature bathroom in our property, the Wentworth, which was the show house of our latest development; Briarswood.
Briarswood is set in Colwyn Bay near the Welsh Mountain Zoo, one of the North Wales’ premier attractions and includes six executive houses overlooking beautiful countryside, all with south facing gardens.
This fantastic edition of Utopia reveals the luxurious and modern design of the Wentworth Ravenscroft property.
The kitchen in the Wentworth is a prime example of clean, contemporary design that still caters to a family life. The aim was to create a kitchen that was full of style but that was also a suitable family environment. It has an abundance of storage space with black worktops contrasting the cream Sahara gloss finish. The central island is the feature of the room providing plenty of cooking preparation space and seating for guests to observe the chef in action.
The bathroom is all about adding a generous amount of glamour to a family home. It is practical yet beautiful and it is just one of four bathrooms in this five bedroom home ideal for a large family, yet it maintains an indulgent spa like appeal with its walk in shower, waterfall tap and distinctive tiling scheme.
Both rooms heavily accentuate light and space gracefully.
